Hello lovelies. For Day 14 of our "Awaken Your Inner Goddess" journey, we will explore the art of Mindful Nourishment, embracing the way we fuel our bodies as an extension of our self-care and an expression of self-love.
As we continue, let's revisit the path we've tread together:

1. Morning Meditation: Start at dawn with meditation, I find 6 am ideal for peace.
2. Energetic Cleansing Bath: Make your daily shower a ritual to wash away more than just the physical, targeting overwhelm and refreshing your spirit.
3. Connection with Nature: Daily, embrace nature, maybe with a sunrise coffee on your porch.
4. Creative Doodling: Incorporate mindful doodling with your morning routine, letting creativity flow with your coffee.
5. Routine Decluttering: Commit at least 10 minutes to tidy up daily, you’ll notice your space transform quickly.
6. Celebration of Movement: Integrate movement into your day, dance while making dinner, it’s vital for your energy.
7. Self-Love Letters: On the 7th of each month, write to yourself, highlighting self-love.
8. Chakra Meditation: Bi-weekly, align your chakras, next on the 22nd.
9. Herbal Tea Ritual: Evening tea, like lavender and chamomile, soothes you into the night.
10. Gratitude Journaling: Nightly, note what you’re thankful for, perhaps over herbal tea.
11. Affirmations: Daily, declare positive affirmations, amplified by the shower’s water.
12. Moon Cycle Awareness: Stay in tune with the lunar cycle for personal insights, like the coming Snow Moon.
13. Sensual Movement: Weekly, engage in sensual dance or yoga, to connect with your body’s rhythm and grace.
Today, we’ll add Mindful Eating to our journey, treating nourishment as a sacred act of honoring the temple that is our body.

Mentor inspiration:
For today's focus on Mindful Eating in our journey, we draw from the insights of Michael Pollan, an advocate for conscious food choices. Pollan's simple mantra, "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants," reminds us of the profound connection between our diet and our well-being. He encourages us to consider the quality and origins of what we eat, promoting an awareness that nourishes the body and soul.
His advice to "Eat food as close to its natural state as possible" guides us to choose whole, unprocessed foods that align with our body's needs and the earth's bounty. Let this wisdom infuse today's practice as we eat with intention, gratitude, and a mindful appreciation for the sustenance provided to us.
Heres a quote of his to reflect upon:

Color Whispers:
Let's think along the lines of a soothing and nourishing palette of greens and creams. The color green represents growth, harmony, and health, resonating with the nourishing properties of whole foods from the earth. Creams offer a sense of comfort and simplicity, reminding us of wholesome, unprocessed foods that bring peace to the body and mind. Together, these colors create a canvas that encourages a mindful connection to our meals, reflecting the natural goodness that sustains and revitalizes us. I would love to see your make up designs. Please feel free to share them in our Facebook group, link at the bottom of the page.

Scented Serenades:
Let's infuse our senses with the fresh, revitalizing scent of Basil, which is known for its ability to aid in digestion and add a sense of freshness to any space. Complementing this, the zesty and invigorating Lemon essential oil stimulates the senses and can help in concentration and mental clarity. Together, these aromas encourage a present and aware state of mind, perfect for a conscious and fulfilling eating experience. I used these in my defuser while I took my mindful shower.

Music for the Senses:
Today for my song choice for the Mindful Eating theme, let’s tune into “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks’ beautifully husky vocals and the song’s gentle, introspective melody create a gentle atmosphere, perfect for a mindful approach to your meal. Listen to this maybe while cooking your nutritional meal and sway along to it as your daily movement. Take 1 minute to imagine you are a plant growing from the ground, bend over and try touch your toes, gently 1 vertebrae at a time come up, the point of this exercise is to do this as slowly in the minute as possible, it's to awaken your back, get your fluids moving around your ligaments and muscles or you go stiff. As you stand up to lift your arms up to the sky and open your chest up, moving your arms backwards, as if you are taking in the sunshine while you open your chest up. Stay there for a moment. Breathe deeply. Exhale fully and hug yourself around your chest. Well done. What a wonderful stretch. I did that while standing in my kitchen today. I used it as an opportunity to spend time with my daughter as an activity together, she enjoyed it, I made it fun by asking her what colour her flowers were, and if she was intending on growing any fruit this year. She giggled.

Todays Activity:
For todays activity, we're diving into the enriching world of Mindful Eating, with a special gift to guide you further on this journey.
Today’s Activity: Mindful Eating Practice
1. Choose Your Meal: Select a meal today to eat mindfully. It could be something simple like a piece of fruit or a more complex dish. Today my choice of meal was spinach with poached egg followed by a really big bowl of half thawed frozen berries. The trick to eating a good meal is to tell the meal how thankful you are for it in your mind while you're cooking it, food that is made with good intentions, and Love always tastes, more homely.
2. Setting: Create a calm dining environment. Clear the table, maybe light a candle, and ensure a distraction-free zone. No phones at the table. Turn the television off put some nice calm music on maybe. Tonight at dinner, we listened to this playlist in the background, amazed to see how many 80s songs my children know.
3. Engage Your Senses: Before eating, take a moment to appreciate the appearance, smell, and texture of your food. Notice the colors, the aroma, and how it feels. Talk about it amongst your family. Ask your children, which is their favourite smells.
4. Savor Each Bite: Eat slowly, savoring each bite. Chew thoroughly and notice the flavors and sensations in your mouth. Really take the time to pay attention as to what's going on in your mouth. This is something we take for granted all the time.
5. Reflect: As you eat, reflect on the journey of the food to your plate, the people who grew it, the process of preparation, and feel gratitude for the nourishment it provides.
6. Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to your hunger and fullness cues. Eat until you’re comfortably full, not overstuffed.
